Palakkal Ghee Side Dish

Delicious Food Recipe


Palakkal Ghee Side Dish



Ingredients :

Brinjal - 100gm
Cluster Beans - 100gm
Small Onions -100gm
Broad Beans - 100gm
Yam - 100gm
Crushed Pepper Corns - 1 Tablespoon
Gingelly Oil - 1/4 cup
Few Curry Leaves
Dry Ginger
Ghee - 1 Cup
Asafoetida - 1 Pinch
Mustard Seed - 1 tsp
Masala Powder - 5 tbsp


Masala Powder Ingredients :


Urad Dal - 100gm
Fenugreek - 25gm
Cumin - 25gm
Pepper - 25gm
Red Chillies - 8

Coocking Method :

Heat Ghee in a clay pot and splutter the mustard seeds and curry leaves.

Fry the small onions till brown and add pepper power and masala powder.

Add the small onion paste, along with the dry ginger and asafoetida powder and fry well.  Add all ghee vegetables and cook in ghee till done without adding water.
